Today I went for jive classes---yes, actually jive classes here in Kottayam!! Of course I was the oldest person there and the teacher was a young man who was my nieces' age(classmate to one of them). But, what a BLAST I had:D!! It was so much fun to dance to oldies and just generally do something I totally love. I know that tomorrow morning when I wake up, I'm going to find myself stiff in many places. But even so.... I am totally looking forward to the next few classes.

  1. Hello!
This is in response to the comment you left on my blog, nothing related here. That is so cool that you go to an Orthodox church! I became Orthodox about six years ago now, and it was the best decision of my life! I have not heard much about the Orthodox Church in India...what patriarchate are you under? I was just so excited to find someone who was the same religion...you are welcome on my blog anytime. :)

  2. We belong to a church which was originally Syrian Orthodox. There are still many who accept the Patriarch of Antioch as the head of the church. We have a Patriarch in India too. Many of our services still have some Syriac (which is apparently like old Aramaic). We are mainly of South Indian origin and we maintain that St. Thomas came here about 55 AD and converted some families here. Ever since there have been Christians here.

  4. I like your dancers in your post. I have been going through Blogger Help to see how you did that, but to no avail. I would really like it if you could tell me how you did that. It seems that I must have a jpeg file or something. But some of the pictures you posted is like a clip art. Here is my addy if you would like to tell me: skedi1@yahoo.com BTW, I got your message-thanks. She has lots of "hats." :) For some reason, I couldn't publish it. It was funny that it showed up in my email, but not in the moderated comments section in the blog. So, there was nothing there. Blogger says "Sorry, but we are unable to complete your request." Thanks for your comment, though.

  8. it really was so much fun going for the classes, though being 55 and not a regular exerciser, and being the oldest there made me feel really tired on day 2. But the third and last day was ok.
