An award

"They color my life with the beautiful hues of friendship. Although we come from different backgrounds and cultures we share the same spirit of friendship."

I was given this award by Shari. Thanks so much Shari. I feel truly honoured.
Now to pass this award on to someone:
I give this award to Dot, Esbee, Eve's lungs, HipHop Grandmom and Annie Bluesky of Blogu.

  3. Lucy, thanks for educating me about your festive holiday season. I went on line to learn more about who you were honoring and how you celebrated with the exchange of sweets, the fireworks or Lamps burning, card parties, buying of new clothes and jewelry. When I read you gave out sugar candy and puffed wheat I just had to tell you that I often have puffed wheat cereal for my breakfast.
This Diwali Holiday resembles our Christmas, Halloween and New years combined. Christmas is a Religious holiday here and we give each other gifts which often is clothing and jewelry, Halloween where we give out candy and other sweets, and New Years where we have parties and sometimes fireworks.
I enjoyed reading about your Hindu festival Diwali. Sounds like days of enjoyment and sharing. Makes receiving the Diwali award even more precious. Thank you.

  4. Hillgrandmom, I am sorry, for using Lucy`s name instead of yours in the last comment as it was meant for you. I had just finished reading the comment that Lucy left you so her name was still on my mind when I was writing to you. I tried to erase the comment and re-write it, but I couldn`t.
Thanks again for sharing your Diwali award with me.
